New Milford Hospital Diebold Family Cancer Center Hosts Cancer Survivor’s Celebration at The Maxx

2014 National Cancer Survivor's DayThe Diebold Family Cancer Center at New Milford Hospital will host a Cancer Survivors celebration on Thursday, June 12, 2014 from 4 to 6 p.m. The annual program takes place at The Maxx, 94 Railroad Street in New Milford. The celebratory event starts at 4 p.m. with light refreshments, followed by welcome remarks, special introductions and "high-tech" entertainment. Seating for the free event is limited to a cancer survivor and a guest.

Cancer survivors face many challenges throughout the diagnosis and treatment cycles. Despite these difficulties, they can and do live active and productive lives. That's why the staff of the New Milford Hospital Diebold Family Cancer Center is proud to celebrate each and every achievement with survivors at this event.

Introductory remarks will be presented by the Western Connecticut Medical Group radiation oncologist Joseph Bargellini, M.D. Welcoming cancer survivors and their guests will be Sandra M. Lombardo, M.D., Western Connecticut Medical Group, medical oncologist, Hematology/Oncology, Barbara Davies, R.N., cancer center manager and oncology nurse navigator Cynthia Tyler, R.N.

Space is limited, therefore, cancer survivors and guests planning to attend the New Milford Hospital Diebold Family Cancer Center Survivors celebration must RSVP no later than Friday, June 6, 2014 by calling 1-800-350-1595.
