In-house Phones
All patient rooms have a personal phone at the bedside with an individual number. This number can be given to your family and friends at your discretion.
  • Your family and friends may dial your room between 7:00 am and 9:00 pm. After 9:00 pm calls will be directed to the nursing station on your unit to be forwarded to your phone (at the nurse's discretion). This assures you and your roommate of uninterrupted rest or privacy when desired.
  • You may make telephone calls at any time. If you require assistance or experience any problem with your phone, please dial 0 for the hospital's operator
For local calls, dial 9, wait for the dial tone and dial the number

Long distance calls require dialing 8 + 0 + the area code (if necessary) + the number. An operator will then come on the line to arrange billing to your credit card or to place the call collect.
  • An amplifier telephone is available for hearing-impaired patients at no extra cost. Please notify your nurse to arrange this complimentary service.
  • A Telecommunications Device for the Deaf (TDD) is available at no charge to enable patients who are deaf or hearing impaired to use the telephone. Should you require a TDD, please notify your nurse.
If you are calling a hospital extension from inside the hospital, simply dial a 3 followed by the last four digits, without 210 prefix.

Spiritual Care and Interfaith Chapel
Recognizing the importance of spiritual and religious support during a hospital stay, we routinely offer our patients the opportunity to be visited by a chaplain or their designated clergy in the community.  The Spiritual Care Department provides volunteer chaplains to visit patients daily by request or around the clock in cases of emergency. Upon request, we will also contact a patient's clergy to notify him or her of a patient's hospitalization or desire for a visit.  Our volunteer chaplains represent a variety of faiths, and provide non-denominational support to encourage patients and families who may need spiritual guidance. The Spiritual Care Department also sponsors a healing service which is held on the third Sunday of each month at 6 p.m. in the interfaith chapel (first floor, behind main lobby). All denominations are welcome.  For information, call 860-210-5285.

Restrooms
Restrooms for the public are located on the first floor behind the main lobby (opposite the interfaith chapel) and in the vending machine area, adjacent to the cafeteria.
