New Milford Hospital wants to be your home for health. The 85-bed community hospital has launched a media campaign around this goal – highlighting the high quality and personal attention that has always characterized its approach to providing health care for the people of Litchfield County, northern Fairfield County, and nearby communities in New York. Strategic partners for the campaign include The Worx Group of Prospect, Connecticut, and Mediassociates, Inc., of Danbury.
Hospital President and CEO Joseph P. Frolkis, MD, PhD, said, “New Milford Hospital is further defining what a great community hospital is by working to offer an unmatched combination of skill, professionalism and personal attention to meet the majority of health needs in the community. The campaign aims to depict the community connections we make every day and our efforts to fully understand patients’ needs and provide timely, appropriate care that will make them feel better.

The Hospital will feature achievements in the campaign that speak to its level of clinical excellence: the hospitalist program, designations for stroke and cancer care by independent organizations, the Plow to Plate program for healthy food and lifestyles, and numerous screening, education and support programs. Beyond these tangible programs and services, though, the Hospital is focused on involving patients and families in their care to put them at ease. “Our developing Planetree model of care is all about making a personal connection,” Dr. Frolkis explained.
The campaign features mural-style images in soothing colors that depict physicians, employees, patients, volunteers, hospital services, community health initiatives, and local scenery. The illustrations link the Hospital to the community in a conversational way, while exuding the tranquility of Planetree’s warmth and compassion. “New Milford Hospital is unique in its ability to truly connect with patients and the community,” Worx Group Executive Creative Director Grant Copeland said. “We feel the position is something they can truly own in the market that really does facilitate successful health outcomes.” In addition to events and programming, the campaign will include newspaper, radio and outdoor (billboard) advertising, along with web-based activities to reach patients and potential patients in Connecticut and New York communities.
