Walk and Talk : A Community Conversation for Families and Individuals

New Milford Hospital

The Pratt Nature Center, in collaboration with New Milford Hospital’s Plow to Plate Program, is hosting a quarterly “Walk and Talk: A Community Conversation for families and individuals.” A special guest will lead us in an outdoor “adventure” around the Pratt Center with an educational session in the Yurt. “Special Guests” will discuss topics including fitness, mental health, education, substance use, nutrition and farming. Special Guests, will give a quick introduction about themselves and their profession, followed by a walk through the Pratt property. Participants are encouraged to ask questions! 

Families and individuals welcome!

May, 4 - 10 am Help with planting and learn the benefits of local foods, growing tips with Larissa March, RDN and Ben March from March farms.

September, 28 - 10 am Help with the harvest and enjoy a cooking demo with chef Kerry Gold and Michele MacDonnell, RDN.

November, 16 - 10 am Learn about mental health, wellness and the benefit of sleep from Justin Cullmer, High-Risk Navigator, Chair of New Milford CAN, and Michele MacDonnell, RDN.
