NEW MILFORD, Connecticut – February 25, 2015 – New Milford Hospital will host a series of Strong Women™ Strong Bones fitness programs at three community locations. Each session affords seven weeks (2 classes per week) of exercise targeted to middle-aged and older women to increase strength, balance and flexibility, and is appropriate for both sedentary and active women.
Strong Women™ Strong Bones is a nationally recognized fitness program designed to prevent and reverse osteoporosis/osteopenia and promote general health and wellness. Health and wellness benefits include arthritis relief, restoration of balance and flexibility, strengthening of bones, proper weight maintenance, and improved glucose control and heart health.
