NORWALK, Connecticut, April 16, 2018 — Join Norwalk Hospital on Saturday, May 5, 2018 when nearly 2,000 people will gather at Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk, CT for the 15th annual Whittingham Cancer Center Walk & Sally’s Run. Participants can register online at support.wchn.org.
Created by grateful patients in 2004, the Whittingham Cancer Center Walk & Sally’s Run is a fun and inspiring community-driven event that has risen more than $3 million to support the C. Anthony and Jean Whittingham Cancer Center programs and services, including:
- Access to the most advanced treatments and clinical trials
- Dedicated patient navigators
- Integrative medicine services
- Genetic counseling
- Individual, group, and family counseling and support groups
- Patient education
- Pastoral care
Most people know someone whose life has been changed forever by cancer. This year, over 700 people will be diagnosed at the Whittingham Cancer Center, and the compassionate care team, which now includes Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center experts, will handle 30,000 patient visits. Proceeds from the event will help Norwalk Hospital to continue to provide local residents with excellent, quality cancer care close to home.

This rain or shine event features a 5K run at 8:30 AM (registration at 7:30 AM), a 3K walk at 10:30 AM (registration at 9:00 AM), live music, and refreshments.
Walk, run, create a team, join a team, or make a donation in honor of a loved one. All donations made in support of the Whittingham Cancer Center Walk & Sally’s Run are tax-deductible.
Before May 5, the registration fee for adults age 19 and older is $30.00 and ages 6 to 18 is $15.00. Children age 5 and under are free as is parking.
